School Security Fencing Lismore
On 22nd July 2010, The Daily Examiner (North Coast NSW) published a story headed ‘Security fences are best defence’ highlighting the effectiveness of school security fencing in reducing vandalism and damage to school property.
Bluedog has worked with DET to secure many schools in the north coast district by installing security fencing including at Tweed Heads, Grafton, Casino, Lismore and Nambucca Heads.
The article states:
"A DET spokesperson said there were 244 incidents of vandalism in NSW public school in the 2008/2009 Christmas holiday period - a major reduction compared with the previous three years.
"There were 330 vandalism incidents recorded during the 2007/08 vacation period, 594 during 2006/07 and 428 during 2005/06," the spokesperson said. This, he said, equated to a 59 per cent decrease when compared with the 2006/07 Christmas period.
